Charlie Grantham and I were honored to be the keynote speakers at the Corenet Carolina’s Chapter major learning event in Charlotte, North Carolina, on August 18. The program, “The Future of Work: People, Process, & Places,” was attended by over 300 workplace and real estate professionals. Here’s our presentation:
Our keynote was preceded by a “State of the Association” speech by Angela Cain, recently appointed CEO of Corenet Global. And following our presentation we participated in a panel discussion focused on the challenges and opportunities facing the corporate real estate profession today. The panel was led by our good friend T. Patrick Donnelly of BHDP Architects. Other panelists included:
- David Lathrop, Director of Research and Strategy, Steelcase
- Mark Gorman, Executive Managing Director, Newmark Knight Frank
- Erica Chapman, Director of Corporate Real Estate, Adidas Group
- Craig Youst, Senior Director, Global Real Estate and Facilities, Red Hat
The Charlotte Observer published a brief article about the event at this link: http://www.charlotteobserver.com/2010/08/19/1632066/real-estate-pros-discuss-workplace.html And our host, Hunter Fleshood, a Senior Vice President at Bank of America and President of the Carolina’s Corenet Chapter, was interviewed about the event on local television. Here’ s a link to that conversation (just over 4 minutes long): http://charlotte.news14.com/content/in_depth/629359/in-depth–hunter-fleshood–corenet-global In our humble opinion, it was a great event, and we commend the leadership of the Charlotte Corenet Chapter Board for pulling off such an impressive program in the middle of August. Thanks for including us!
